Big Charity Giveback – Stop 2 (Dogs Trust, Leeds)

Our second Big Charity Giveback is to Dogs Trust at our nearest centre in Leeds.

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 15,000 dogs each year through a network of 20 rehoming centres in the UK – that is a lot of dogs! Dogs Trust have been involved in every piece of legislation affecting dogs over the past 126 years!

The Dogs Trust mission is simple, it’s to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.

Their team of volunteers are still working at the rehoming centres, of which are currently closed to the public, to make sure the dogs are happy and healthy.

We wanted to say a massive thank you to the Dogs Trust Leeds team and we want to treat the dogs at Dogs Trust Leeds with just a small token of our love, and hopefully the Teddy Fleece Blanket that we have sent as part of our Giveback will be of comfort to the dogs – their work is hugely appreciated by the local community and hopefully the dogs there find their forever homes full of love. Here is a lovely pair of Westies called Honey and Bonnie. The solo one is Bonnie.

But how can you help?

There are multiple ways you can support Dogs Trust Leeds.

You can do what we did and choose an item from their Amazon wish-list and it goes straight to them, including treats and blankets. The Amazon wish-list allows you to purchase treats and supplies of which they are forever grateful to receive. Here is an amazing delivery of treats Dogs Trust Leeds got sent this week with Bella the staffy and a couple of staff members getting in for a photo.

You can also donate to Dogs Trust through their website supporting their amazing work.

You can also look at the dogs that cannot be rehomed and sponsor them as they stay at Dogs Trust happy and healthy.

You can also check out their website dogstrust.org.uk to find your local rehoming centre and how you can support them.

Keep an eye out for which charity we will be supporting next.

Stay safe!
